.INTRODUCTION
The FBM1511 is an EBR-1553 Bus Controller module, implemented on an 8 layer PCB board. It conforms to AS5652 standard, achieving 10Mbps speed. To simplify the system design, a triple mode HUB is integrated into FBM1511. The HUB supports up to 32 dual-redundant RT links and 1 dual redundant composite Monitor link. To minimize the host CPU burden, FBM1511 integrates a large volume SRAM with 8-bit EDAC. With the 8-bit EDAC, FBM1511 could detect 2 data-bit errors and correct 1 data-bit error.
The FBM1511 is implemented with Microsis’s high-reliability EBR-1553 bus controller IP core, which is designed with fault-tolerant scheme. With the fault-tolerant design, FBM1511 could tolerant 1 register/memory bit upset, which would ensure the reliability of the target system.
With the above high-reliability design considerations, the FBM1511 could be used in the embedded computers of the high-reliability areas, such as avionic, aerospace and industry control, etc.
